Today was the kickoff of the spring show down at Kutztown. The day
started off cool at 32F, but it warmed up to 55F by the time that I left.
Some right pretty traveling weather (another one of my Postcard From The
Road Of Life pictures)

The show opened at 9:00 AM and this was the line to get in at 8:35 AM
and went way on back...

Lots of folks a picking and a buying.

The vendor count was the best that it's been a long time, nothing like
it was 15 years ago, but still.

Just me...

More of the action.

Pickings were fairly good for a change. The big try square is a
Marshall, I found one in 1850's England so that might be it, a pair of
hand forged hooks, a nice panel marking gage that is missing the shoe
under the screw, but that is an easy fix, a really nice screw adjustment
wood spoke shave, a rough Stanley Rule & Level No. 51 spoke shave, a big
blacksmith hot cut chisel head, and fairly nice Plumb riveting hammer.

Four molding planes, the guy that I got these from had some good stuff,
but I got skunked on getting it, and I was grabbing as fast as I
could.. There is a Sandusky 1/2" skew rabbet, a signed 18th Century
complex plane, a rough side bead, and an M. Long side bead who was a
Reading PA maker. Also there is a Stanley No. 20 7 1/2" try square with
the 1898 patent, a nice looking 8" rosewood handled bevel square, a
Lancashire pattern divider and outside caliper, a small Granite State
wrench, small brass drafting protractor, a small iron framing square, a
Starrett depth gage and no. 4 thread pitch gage, a Brown & Sharpe
scribe, a small German jeweler's pliers, a small brass head hammer with
a steel handle, a Norton diamond hone, a small Perfect Handle
screwdriver, and a drill point gage with the leather case.

Not a super pile, still decent haul for the time invested.
Tony (with a whole lotta work do...)
