Just a thought, what about setting up with these guys ?  They will let you 
design the artwork then print it on just about anything... and they handle 
all the money... we are using them for an automotive web site I frequent.

I know it wouldn't have the cachet of being a specific "edition" of shirt 
or other, but it might make life a WHOLE LOT easier...
