OT content:
According to Mr Oxford, of dictionary fame, 'vert' means "all that bears 
green leaves
in a forest"....... ie timber!
Seem to recall from school French classes that 'vert' is also French for 
green........or
is it 'verte'.....or is it gender dependant?
Or am I totally wrong?
