Greetings GGs,
I was just perusing the Bios as a sort of a Pre-Christmas activity
and I decided to take a look at what I had written early on. I noted
that I was a pastor..... since resigned. That my wife was a
psychologist.... I'm nearly there... my e-mail address is no longer
current .. I was expecting the first grandchild..now I have
three....and a lot more. Yes, it WAS embarrassing to note that I was
already working on The Bench then... just finishing it a few weeks
ago. I was collecting type 12-13 Stanley stuff back then....
avidly...voraciously..... since then I've sold it all. On the other
hand, I was into Berg stuff then, and the insanity has progressed
steadily to where no amount of psychotropic medication could possible
restore my sanity. The collecting bug has died altogether with the
exception of Berg edge tools and woodies that have furniture shapes
(as opposed to architectural forms). Instead of collecting, I have
been going the other way, reducing. The idea has been to reduce my
tool holding to those that I really WILL use and don't want to be
without. It seems as though my hobby has been shop-building as much
as it has furniture building. Lately I am having lots of fun
redesigning tool storage... new saw rack... shelves etc etc.
Goals? Build more furniture..... reduce electron burning.... get a
better radio in the shop.... spend less time removing rust and more
time making shavings.
It's a short update,.... but the other one was sooo dated....
I hope the Thanksgiving holiday was a blessing to all
Tom
