276674 Chris Wolf <hframe79001@g...> 2022‑12‑04 What is this Delta tool?
I came across these photos in an ad for an estate sale, and I don't
think I've seen a tool like this before. I didn't go to the sale, so all
I have seen is these three photos. What is it? (And would it have been
so hard for them to take one photo from a different angle?)

Okay, I guess I posted too quickly. A Google image search identifies the
part on top as an original Delta tenoning jig. I guess I've never seen
one from quite that angle before. But what is it sitting on? It looks
too small to be a table saw. There seems to be no room for the tenoning
jig to slide without falling off.

It’s a tenon cutter for a table saw.

I wonder if it’s sitting on a router table. A slot is a slot to the
unknowing.

It is sitting on a Delta “light” shaper (the precise model number escapes me at
the moment). The 1172 tenon jig could also come with parts to use it as a sled
on a shaper.
