Hi All, My name is Rich and I grew up on a small farm in western New
York. I started using hand tools in grade school. I was an industrial
arts major in high school. I majored in wood technology in college. One
of my first full time jobs was kiln drying lumber. I have dried lumber
for over 30 years now. My present full time job in in building equipment
maintenance. I am still doing some dry kiln operating too. I use hand
tools in my daily work but I primarily collect levels and inclinometers.
It all started several years ago when I decided to decorate a rough pine
wall in my living room with old tools. Back then I would buy any old
tools I liked. I then started to see how many tools I liked and I
decided to narrow my collecting to levels and inclinometers. I am now
copresident of NETCA, that is the New England Tool Collectors
Association. I truly enjoy the porch and hope you folks can find a
little corner for me. I have met several porch dwellers and knew some
before I found the porch. We visited England this past Sept. and I met
Mike Fields in person and we thank him for a great tour of his area.We
had a great time. We also attended the David Stanley auction and I
brought home a few great English levels and a few other tools too. The
main reason for not posting a Bio earlier is the AOL I use for email
makes it very hard to post in plain text. Happy Hollidays To One And
ALL! See Ya, Rich Krzal, at home in Vermont
