My name is Don Clark. I'm 53 years old, but wife says I act like 13
year old.. I make my living as a Trust Officer in a Trust Company and
live in the Washington, DC area. I've been around tools all my life,
but really never got into woodworking a great deal until a couple of
years ago when I started making my own wooden archery arrows. Since
then I have also begun making bows and some furniture and toys. My
9-year old son often "helps" me. I just don't seem to enjoy power tools
as much as handtools. I can't even imagine buying a power joiner or
planer, but I do use some power tools at times. It also seems to me
that Roy is a lot more fun to watch than Norm.

I only have a few "oldtools" at this time, but the ones I have seem to
work very well. I have an intitial "wood gloat". Yesterday as I was
leaving for work a couple of guys asked me about a parked car on our
street, saying they had to take a large Ash tree down. I helped them
with the car, tipped them $10.00 and ended up with 2 nice 6 foot logs,
one about 10" in diameter and one about 15".
Thats about all I can handle in my townhouse at one time, so I now have
about 50 bf in the larger log and 4 to 6 bowstaves out of the smaller
one. The only large power tool I own is a bandsaw and I bought it for
just this kind of opportunity.
