Subject: [OldTools] Administrivia: Migration of OldTools: Part 1

GGs,

I just set up our List on groups.io, and it turns out that we can handle the
site costs using a donations mechanism that's built in, so we don't need the
additional complexity of a separate collections site.

In the next few days I will look into how I migrate our subscriber list to
the new site, set up my server to automatically forward email to the new
address, and send out another email when I'm ready to pull the trigger.

My recollection from when one of my other email lists moved to groups.io is
that once I've moved everyone over, each of you will get an email from the
List asking you to confirm you wish to join, and a link to take you to your
new account on the site. With that link, you can choose a password for your
OldTools account and set up your preferences (Digest mode, etc.). You can
also donate to the List at that point. If the way the donations work make
you nervous, you're welcome to send me a check.

Questions?

Thanks for being patient as we go through this process!

Cheers,

ListMom, Chris
