I went there a couple years ago. I loved it and will try to make it back some
day.
Not every area is open everyday. I would strongly suggest figuring out what you
want to see most and pick a day to go when those things are open. I just checked
there website and it shows the days and hours areas are open. The 2 things I
wanted to see most, the carpenters yard and the joiner, were closed the day I
was there.

There is a ton to see. To see everything in one day would leave you no time to
see anything in depth or talk much with the presenters.

The presenters are quite knowledgeable. Let them know you are not a traditional
tool neophyte and ask some good questions about what you are interested in and
you'll have some good conversations. I can only imagine the really appreciated
not getting the same silly questions they get the average joe.

My son graduates from Navy Music School in Virginia Beach, VA next week.
Since we will be that close SWMBO and I are planning to spend a day at
Colonial Williamsburg.  Can any of you offer any hints as to how the time
will best be spent since we only have the one day?
