Ed, - According to Highland Hardware's web site, these are made in Brazil. - I have a #50 made in Brazil and find it acceptable though I finish up with a finer Auriou. - Highland's normal price is about the same as Woodpecker's sale (no affiliation). On the other end of the spectrum, Kirk gifted the fleabags a pile o’ resharpend files deemed *rejects* by the pros. Perfectly acceptable for my rough purposes and some neato shapes to boot! This at the flea after the flea at Alameda, where the redistribution of previously arranged loot has become common.
