-548 Larry.Scott@c... (Larry or Sue Scott) 1970‑01‑01 Bio

Hi.

I am Larry Scott, age 44, married to a wonderful woman named Sue for 24 years
 (as of
Monday, 7/22). I am an electronics tech for Rockwell-Collins (my opinions are m
y
own...), where I troubleshoot commercial aircraft electronics. My hobbies have
been
oriented around electronics, but recently I've needed something unrelated to rel
ax.
I've always enjoyed making things and working with my hands, so I decided to try

woodworking. I watched "New Yankee Workshop", "Hometime", and "This old house",
 went
out and bought a table saw and router, made a few shelves and found that I didn'
t enjoy
it. Then I found an old wooden plane in an antique store, paid *way* too much f
or it,
and found that woodworking is relaxing, satisfying, and enjoyable if you don't u
se
motors too much. I'm actually going to try building something for the living ro
om, as
soon as (if) I develope my skills. I will be making shop stuff (sawhorses, shel
ves,
cabinets, and tool storage boxes) as skillbuilding practice peices.
I've been lurking because I know nothing about listservers, oldtools, or Galo
ots,
and hesitate to waste everyone's time with my errors while I'm learning. Howeve
r, one
message made me come up and introduce myself, just so I could ask some questions
.

What are the appropriate FAQs, and where do I find them?
How do I know if different systems will make my messages readable? If anyone
 can
not read this, sorry.
I am not sure how to use my mail software very well. This is my second attem
pt at
sending a bio.
Now I'll just go sit quietly on the bottom step and try not to get in the way
. :)
